That’s the scene, for me, that was the most romantic, just because of it’s simplicity. There are very, very few dialogue lines. It’s all about just their physical presence, and him seeing her, and needing to take her home. I mean, it still makes me tingle.

CAN I JUST TAKE A MINUTE TO TALK EXPRESS HOW WONDERFUL THIS MOVIE IS. First there’s RICHARD FUCKING ARMITAGE LOOKING DEBONAIRE AND STATELY AND COMPLETELY IN LOVE WITH THE PROTAGONIST IN A WAY THAT MAKES YOU FEEL ACUTELY LONELY JUST THINKING THAT SOMEONE SOMEWHERE IS GETTING LOOKED AT LIKE THAT. And it has that pride and prejudice feel that I’m such a gigantic sucker for - who doesn’t love a pairing where they challenge each other to ultimately realize that their first impressions of each other were wrong and they come to accept and LOVE each other despite their MANY FLAWS. It was so romantic and I swooned through the whole thing.
